Great feeder. Saves money on food. Only feeding chickens not the squirrel. Feeds several hens at one time.
Instructions were very clear. Was looking for something that is rather weather proof and we haven't faired a winter with it, but so far so good! The food is not 100% contained, but very little gets out when they eat and beats the food tray I had, they showered in food with that. I love that it's made in the USA, that and it being of metal was a big selling point.
I had some issues with my feeder but the customer service was top notch to try and make it right. While it didn't work out for me I wouldn't be discouraged to buy from them again due to the quality of their customer service.
I ordered the feeder as a birthday gift for my son's friend and it's such a great piece of equipment -- very high quality. In addition, when I asked the company if they could fast-track the order to arrive before the chicken-owning family went out of town, they worked to make sure it did. Class A all around.
I bought the 25lb feeder. While the feeder does keep the food dry my chickens will empty it in two days. I only have 11 young hens; the ground will literally be 1/2" deep around the feeder with wasted feed.
